The Diviners is the first book I remember buying for myself after reading some Margaret Laurence in school. (She is assigned reading in Canada.) I loved this book. Recently I found the same edition from 40-some years ago at a second-hand store. I often write poems this way but seldom with such specific hermeneutics. – Pamela Hobart Carter
